无论是制造型组织还是服务型组织，当产品或服务提供要求发生修改或变化时，一定要在组织内外部得到有效沟通，即确保所有相关人员知晓，以便及时采取措施避免不必要的损失或未能满足顾客要求的情形。

例如生产计划主管早已向生产部下达某批次定制产品生产计划，后来顾客要求减少订单数量，但此次主管已经请假不在公司，故未及时通知生产部，最终导致所生产的产品除交付给顾客以外，剩下的定制产品几乎成为废物，没有其他顾客要了，造成公司巨大损失，或者反之，顾客订单数量增加了的话，又会出现不能及时满足顾客要求的情形，如果给顾客造成严重损失或后果，公司可能因此必须付出巨额的赔偿，如此等等
