Job Title: Operation Director, PT China/CZ Site Plant Manager
Report To: President, PT China
Location: CZ
The Position:
- As a key member of the Leadership team, the Operations Manager/Director will contribute to stimulating a strategic thinking of the business, from an industrial and professional point of view, make decisions and coordinate on the inter-department issue, and take the lead in development of a high performance manufacturing team.
The Role:
- Provide leadership and directions to develop and execute strategic and operational plans that support business needs;
- Monitor and improve plant operations, including manufacturing, production planning & material control, engineering, logistic, quality, facility and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Direct operations standards and optimize the production process to support consistent product quality and continued control of operating costs, safety and complete on-time delivery;
- Drive Operation Excellence throughout the plant, develop and implement best practices, and ensure continuous improvement;
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial governmental rules and regulations relating to employment, environmental, safety and all other matters;.
- Achieve company objectives, long-term goals and expansion plans through the provision of practical and clear leadership.
- Create a working environment conductive to continuous growth and improvements;
- Optimize the team structure to achieve effective and competitive organizational performance;
- Develop the subordinates with objective setting and necessary training to create a healthy environment for employee growth;
- Provide leadership and directions to new product launch, ensure pilot run and mass production of the new product smoothly and then meet the requirement of marketing
The Candidate:
- 10+ year’s management experience including at least 5+ years supervising experience of a manufacturing management team.
- BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent; Master's Degree preferred;
- Hands-on experience in Mechanical product related manufacturing working environment and demonstrate process development and project management skills. Sound experience in manufacturing engineering, warehousing, materials management and production planning;
- A strong background in operations projects management and proven ability to migrate new products from development into production;
- Proficient in strategic and tactical thinking about the business, developing actionable business plans and demonstrating to team members how to achieve those plans;
- Deep believer and active practitioner of Lean principles.
- Demonstrate experience and success working in a fast paced, matrix environment satisfying multiple customers;
- Experience managing managers and professionals. The ability to develop teamwork between groups and to lead and drive multifunctional teams;
- Strategic planning/thinking skills, coupled with analytical and execution skills;
- Demonstrated ability to interface with top executive and senior level management, both internally and externally;
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed;
- Highest standard of ethics and integrity;
- Fluent in both Chinese and English
