Specific Position Requirements to include：
Perform Asian IPO supply base quality audit and supplier technology assessment to ensure superior quality of purchased components and advanced supplier technology.
Lead Asian IPO supplier GPAP Process and qualify new product/process .
Monitor Asian supplier performance for incumbent suppliers for selected commodities or projects
Lead and support the development of Asian suppliers identified from quality and technology perspective to establish long-term supply relationship. Complete development activities in a timely manner
Negotiate and communicate with supplier Sr Management to achieve key quality objectives and timing to support development of new programs
Participate in identifying and pre-screening high potential Asian suppliers for selected commodities / components to support Whirlpool’s manufacturing operations worldwide.
Support Sourcing Strategy Development and e-auction initiatives in Asian as quality and manufacturing process expert by commodity
Solve complex solutions with global, cross functional partners to achieve project objectives
What you need to succeed in this position:
Bachelor or master degree in Engineering and or Sciences from a well-recognized university
Minimum 5-7 years quality engineering or 2 years of quality management experience for a well-known company
Broad-base supply base quality and technology knowledge and experience
Expert of SPC, TQC, Cpk, Six Sigma, FMEA, FPA and incoming material quality control / inspection, Lean manufacturing, , process control and other quality management tools.
Familiar with TS 16949 /ISO 9002 / QS 9000 / ISO 14000 quality system, supply base technology, R&D, test equipment and devices, prototype lab and tooling making.
A manufacturing process and quality expert who knows from where and how to obtain and evaluate critical information about supplier manufacturing capability /quality management system / key production operations, etc
Intensive travel is required
