Role Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development – Asia-Pacific
Reporting : VP, Strategy & Business Development (Matrix: VP-Marketing – Asia-Pacific)
Location: Shanghai, China
Position Summary:
The newly created Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development - Asia-Pacific for Allegion plc will be an important part of the sector’s business development efforts to help drive the sector’s opportunities for growth, potentially including alliances, acquisitions, and joint ventures globally for the sector. The Senior Manager will work closely both with the Allegion Asia-Pacific leadership team and the corporate VP, Strategy & Business Development in building out growth strategies and executing against other strategic focus areas, including evaluation of acquisitions and other regional growth strategies.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Work with Allegion Asia-Pacific leadership to identify and source potential acquisition and partnership opportunities
• Develop and drive long term strategic growth initiatives, including adjacent space evaluation and portfolio optimization activities
• Manage acquisition due diligence and post acquisition integration processes, as appropriate
• Perform business development / M&A due diligence, valuation and business integration for potential acquisitions
• Assist in the process to track, screen, assess, and manage business development opportunities, alliances and potential acquisitions
• Provided support and leadership in the areas of strategy, analysis, and best practices
Min. Yrs. Experience: 5+ years professional experience minimum, with preferred experience in the industrial goods and / or consumer durables industries
Education Standard: Minimum Bachelors degree
Knowledge & Work Experience:
• Experiences of increasing responsibility leveraging some combination of finance, new product development, marketing/market research, and business development
• Creative thinker with demonstrated problem solving capabilities; should include advanced strategic thinking, planning and project management skills
• Excellent judgment and ability to make recommendations/decisions and to resolve complex problems
• Proficiency in analyzing financial documents and business plans
• Flexibility to manage multiple assignments and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, time sensitive and collaborative environment; self-starter not fearful of large responsibility
• Ability to be face of Allegion to potential acquisition and partner candidates
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including capability to have strategic dialogues with Allegion Executive Management
