每日五俚语（一）
1，pick up the tab : 买单付账。
Example:I am going to pick up the tab,you keep your purse in your pocket.
2,kick the bucket:死了，去世,翘辫子（不能指人，只能指动物）
Example:My dog kicked the bucket last night!
3,Jump the gun:操之过急
Example:You jumped the gun,I didn't told you to approach her.
来源：跑步比赛中一般有人鸣枪才能开始起跑，但未鸣枪就起跑，岂不是操之过急？
4，Eat my dust!输给我吧，输吧！
Example:Are you going to eat my dust,You are a loser,that never change!
来源：在跑步比赛中，跑在前方的参赛者由于快速的脚部运动会产生沙尘，而跑在后面的难以避免吸入那些灰尘，那么如果跑在前面的回头向着后者，竖起中指大叫：Eat my dust!    是不是很应境。所以也成了这个俚语的起源。
5,Sore loser:输不起的人。
Example:You are a real sore loser,You lost fifty bucks last night,but you refused to give it to me.

1，Clunker:太旧而不好用的东西（尤其指机器类）
Example:Your computer is a clunker.
2,A piece of junk:垃圾废物（尤指机器类）
Example:You watch is a piece of junk.
3,On the fritz:故障（尤指机器类，可用在stomach上，指胃痛）
Example:My laptop is on the fritz.
4,Kaput:坏了,过时（尤指机器类）
Example:my PC is kaput.
5,Gas guzzler:费油的车
Example:You BMW is a real gas guzzler,now it uses up again!

1，Let off steam:发泄怒气，怨气。
Example:He didn't mean to be angry,he just letted off steam that time.
2,Lose one's cool:发火，无法冷静
Example:He lost his cool,you were really out of line.
3,Put a lid on it:闭嘴，收声。
Example:You'd better put a lid on it,he loses his temper.
4,whatchamacallit(what do you call it):那个啥啥玩意,啥啥东西 ＝thingamajig  
以上两词极其重要，在中文中一般我们不懂名称的东西，我就通常说，那个玩意，那个啥啥东西。而英语中就以上这两个词了。
Example:John,please hand it over to me that whatchamacallit/thingamajig on the table.  
5,To chew out:to chew SB out:对某人发火。
Exampleon't chew me out,I do nothing wrong!

1，screw up:搞砸
Example: You really screwed up,what were you thinking that time.
2,At one's wit's end:无计可施，黔驴技穷。
Example:I am really at my wit's end,I know nothing more about it.
3,At a loss for words:无言以对，无语死了
Example:I am at a loss for words,your GF is unchallenged.
4,Gang up on Sb:联合对付某人
Example:Are you guys going to gang up on me,it is unfair!
5,Go to bat for SB:为某人抱打不平
Example:I go to bat for you,just because you are my bro.

1，Mooch:喜欢白吃白拿的人
Example:You are an annoying mooch here.
2,Pushover:轻信的人，容易受骗的人
Example:I did lay to you,and you trusted me easily,you are really a pushover.
3,Sucker:同上
4,Drama queen:一点小事就大惊小怪的女子,爱小题大作的女子
Example:you are a drama queen,the score on your paper isn't too bad,don't scream like a horn.
5,Ham:爱出风头的人，喜欢抢风头的人（尤指拍照时）
Example:Betty is a ham,she always loves to show up all round in the institute.

1，Kick back:休息，和某人玩耍（注意当kickback为一个词时为：贪污，吃回扣）
Example:I like to kick back you,john.
2,Lame:无聊，没有意思
Example:process in professor john's class is totally lame.
3,Chill 或chill out:放松，休息，或与某人玩耍
Example:I need to chill或chill out for a little while,I am pretty exhausted.
4,Drag:没有意思，枯燥
Example:It is totally drag jogging in this garden.
5,Close call:差点发生的倒霉事
Example:When I was walking across the Zebra crossing,a car drove directly towards me rushly,it almost struck me,it was really a close call.

2,Hang out：等一会。
Example:Hang out! I must put on my coat,it is freezing cold outside.
3,Live it up:尽情享受
Example:May you live it up in the united states of america.
4,Have a blast:过得开心快乐
Example:May you have a blast in the orgie party.
5,Kiss sth goodbye:知道自己不能到手的东西只得无奈地放手（－ －）
Example:I love that phone so much,But I have to kiss it goodbye,I am short on money!
